RAF Harrowbeer

The bomb store, located on the north west perimeter of the airfield site, was located on an artificial "island" created by a forking of the track. Here the southern fork is pictured. It is possible that the bombs were delivered to the store using the road on the right and that the bomb trolley carrying bombs to the fuzing point used the road on the left. The bomb store lies just beyond the fork, hidden by the trees and scrub. Photograph taken August 2001.
