RAF Harrowbeer

The motor transport sheds were two 16 bay buildings where vehicle garaging, repair and maintenance took place. The area consisted of a large yard with the two rows of sheds facing each other. The vehicles would be driven on to the concrete strips shown in the photograph. Some were equipped with inspection pits. The building itself was of rendered temporary brick construction. To the right of the photograph was the motor transport office and to the right of that a 5000 gallon petrol tank and pump.
