RAF Harrowbeer

This iron ring forms the base of an Alan Williams turret. An iron dome would fit on top and would be able to swivel round. The dome had a sliding window in the side and a covered top. This was a defence structure with a good view of the airfield and the southern entrance. Inside a man would have a rifle or machine gun.
