RAF Harrowbeer

This circular, brick built pillbox, with concrete roof, has four rifle slits and is on the south western edge of the technical site. The picture is taken through a gun slit with flash photography and clearly shows the method of construction. A central circular column gave access to an anti-aircraft position on the roof. Concrete lintels (painted blue) between the central column and outer wall support the reinforced concrete roof.
