RAF Harrowbeer

This is one of the dispersal bays in the western range for Hurricane and Typhoon type aircraft. The grass banks with low brick walls provide some level of protection against bomb blasts. The entrance (now blocked)to an air raid shelter for 25 men lies within the arms. Photograph taken July 2001.
