Scorhill Sacred Circle, Gidleigh
Scorhill Stone Circle, on Gidleigh Common, also known as the Gidleigh Circle, was perhaps the largest Bronze Age stone circle on Dartmoor. It has been estimated that there were once 70 standing stones, though now there are only 23 left. The tallest is eight feet tall. The circle may once have served as a sort of calendar.
