Source of the river Avon

This slide is looking down in a southerly direction from the source of the river Avon. Avon head is also known as Aune head and is a desolate spot like many of the heads of the rivers on Dartmoor. It is a wide flat area from which the springs start and the area is characterised by mires or boggy land.
