The tomb of Childe of Plymstock who was out hunting on the moor and got lost in a storm. The legend goes that he killed his horse and then cut it open and climbed inside in an attempt to keep warm. The first mention of the tomb is in the early 17th century. It was destroyed in 1812 and restored in 1885 by the Dartmoor preservation association. It is on the site of an kistvaen, a prehistoric grave. It stands on the Abbots Way on the edge of Foxtor Mires.
