Uncle Ab's House
This ruin stands at the head of the Middle Brook which is a tributary on the river Avon to the west of the river and joins it at near Shipley bridge. Here on the left bank of the Middle Brook are the ruins of Uncle Ab's house, the former stables for the horses employed on the Zeal Tor tramroad. In 1954 the entire shell with door lintel still stood, the latter inscibed 'GB 1809', so the building pre dates the tramroad. Also known as Petre's Pit House.
