Unexploded Shell on Dartmoor

Unexploded Shell on Dartmoor

The northern part of Dartmoor is used for miltary exercises with live ammunition. Occasioanlly a walker comes across an unexploded shell. This shell was discoverd by the photographer J.H. Boddy of Torquay. Map references were taken and then rerported to the military at Okehampton camp who arranged for its diaposal. The military have had a prescence on Dartmoor for a number of years. There prescence is often a contentious issue.
