Plan of interment cover stone now placed in the south entrance porch of Okehampton church
This inscribed stone was found when the church was rebuilt in 1843, although the exact spot where it was found has not been recorded. It is thought to be an interment cover stone made of Purbeck stone. These Purbeck stone covers are rare, and possibly indicate that the knight whose death it marked had fought and died in the Crusades.
