Red and Bala Brook are tributaries of the River Avon. In this vicinity there used to be a tramway to transport peat. This appears to be of a hut circle, part of the Zeal Hill settlement, on the north side of Bala Brook. On the right Red Brook is descending to join the Bala. The fence encloses the land belonging to the water treatment works.
