The Passage House Inn stands on the edge of the Teign estuary by Hackney marches. The sign says that the Inn was establishesd in 1761. So this would have been in existence when the Stover canal which leads on to the Teign estuary was in regular use. It is still in use today as a popular pub and eating house.
