The Cleave Hotel
The Cleave Hotel began life as a farmhouse and dates back to the 16th century. Before becoming the local pub in the middle of the 19th century it was called Gatehouse Farm and was owned for 200 years by the Wills family. A listed building, The Cleave Hotel retains many old features of interest including a stone slab passage and a bread oven to the left of the fireplace next to the bar.
