Lustleigh May Queen on her throne in the Orchard
May Day celebrations take place in Lustleigh on the first Saturday in May and begin at the entrance to the Town Orchard. After a procession through the village the celebrations return to the Orchard where the Queen is crowned on the May Day Rock. This photograph shows the crowning of May Queen, Simone Olver. She is sitting on top of the May Day Rock, where the names of other May Day Queen's have been carved.
