Venford Reservoir spillway

The spillway dam constructed to create the Venford reservoir to supply water to the residents of Paignton in South Devon, UK. The dam caught water from the Venford Brook as it makes it way down from Holne Moor to the River Dart on Southern Dartmoor. The image was probably taken in 1906 or 7 as the dam, which was opened in 1907, appears to be nearing completion.
