HILLSON'S HOUSE

Hillson's House, the remains of a shelter built of stones from the Bronze Age cairn, Stalldown Barrow, above the Erme near Cornwood. Legend has it that a baby was found abandoned on Stall Down. Named Hillson ("son of the hill"), when adult he built the shelter and lived there making 8-day clocks.
