Huckworthy Cross

The cross is located on Huckworthy Common near Horrabridge. It stands on a small mound of turf, on the edge of the common. It is six and half feet tall. The arms are short with one having been broken off. The cross is rudely cut and acts as a waymarker to the Church at Sampford Spiney. People travelling from Plympton Priory, on route to Tavistock Abbey, would use this cross as a guide post if they wished to detour to Sampford Spiney.
