Thorn

The photograph was taken on 16 August 1889. Thorn is a small hamlet on the road between Chagford and Teigncombe. The first cottage on the left is Thorn Farm, the second cottage on the left is known as Postbox cottage, as it has a postbox embedded in its wall. Facing is Thorn cottage, which has now been turned into one residence rather than two as seen in this picture.
