Drizzlecombe Menhir

Drizzlecombe Menhir

The standing stone at the south-western end of one of the stone rows in Drizzlecombe near the River Plym, part of one of the largest complexes of prehistoric ceremonial remains on Dartmoor, including stone rows and burial cairns. (The caption wrongly says that the camera is pointing east. It is in fact pointing north.) Robert Burnard supervised the re-erection of this and other stones in the complex in 1893.
