Bathing in the River Taw
Burnard's photographs were consecutively numbered and it is assumed that each batch of pictures represents a particular trip into Dartmoor when a series of photographs were taken and numbered in sequence. Therefore it is sometimes possible to estimate the location where an unsited photograph was taken by studying on a map the places noted by Burnard for the photographs in the numbered sequence before and after the unsited picture.
