Brownberry Farm

10.9.1892 Brownberry Farm was one of the many farms and dwellings which disappeared on Dartmoor during the 1900s. This was the result of changes in farming and the reluctance of families to endure the hardships of working Dartmoor's poor soil for very little reward. Here Burnard has captured the final phase of Brownberry Farm. The last tenant family were the [LinkToda3411 Coakers]. One member of the family can be seen standing in the doorway.
