Pizwell

Pizwell was previously called Pushyll or Pishull. A document dated to 1260 refers to this group of tenements as a village. The photograph was taken in August 1889. Crossing in his 1912 //Guide to Dartmoor// said "the farms with their thatched roofs probably present the same appearance as they did some centuries ago".
