Manaton

The photograph was taken on 13 August 1889. Crossing in his 1912 //Guide to Dartmoor// said that the particularly pleasing feature of Manaton village was its spacious green. The green was bordered with trees with the houses grouped around it. At the north end of the green was the Half Moon inn with Manaton Rocks behind it.
