Taw Marsh

Taw Marsh

Taw Marsh (also known as Taw Plain) near Belstone is the marsh to the north of Metheral Hill where the Small Brook stream joins the River Taw. Hemery comments in his book //High Dartmoor// that under the peat covering the marsh are the preserved remains of the oak and birch trees that once flourished in this part of Dartmoor.
