Jonas Coaker
Jonas Coaker, the self-styled "poet of the moor", lived from 1801 to 1890 in the Postbridge area, including a period as landlord of the New House (now Warren House) Inn. Sabine Baring-Gould did not have a high opinion of his poetry (see http://www.legendarydartmoor.co.uk/coker_jonas.htm).
