Beardown Tor

The Beardown Ridge is summitted by four large rock piles, one called Lydford Tor and the other three Beardown Tors. All these tors are prominent landmarks for several miles on either side. Crossing describes the main rock pile as having "the appearance of a huge cairn, with a conical pile in the centre". This main rock pile rises to a height of 1,681 feet.
