Cottage at Throwleigh
Throwleigh is a village on the north-east edge of Dartmoor. The village name in medieval times was Throulegh and it was one of the original //vills// that paid //venville// rent for the right to graze stock within the Dartmoor Royal Forest. The ancient trackway from Bideford to Dartmouth that crossed Dartmoor entered the moor from the north at Throwleigh.
