Church + cottages, Buckland in the Moor

A view of St. Peter's Church at Buckland in the Moor, overlooking the Webburn Valley. Here, St. Peter stares westwards towards St. John, the two holy men who guard the valley. The church dates back to the Twelfth Century, but the Manor also depicted in this photograph, is mentioned in the Doomsday Book, 1086. The church houses original medieval artefacts, including extremely well preserved floor tiles, and a small pane of medieval window glass, rendered opaque with age.
