The Manor Hotel, North Bovey
In 1880 William Henry Smith, later to become Viscount Hambleden, built the Manor House on a hillside just north of The village of North Bovey. Used as a convalescent home during The Great War it was opened as an hotel in the mid 20th century, and was renamed and refurbished and became Bovey Castle in 2003.
