Church, exterior from west, West Charleton
The Church (St. Mary) is an ancient structure, with a tower and four bells. It was thoroughly renovated in 1849-50, at the cost of about £1000, when the nave and aisles were mostly rebuilt, and new windows were inserted with mullions of Caen stone. The old screen, rood loft, sedilia, and piscina, remain, and all the new parts are in unison with the old. (source,GEN UKI)
