Harvest tea

Taken in 1946 the year after the end of the war of a farms harvest tea on the land at Wilminstone Hall near Tavistock. The people starting from the right is Auntie Vi who was sister in law to Frank, her cousin Micheal and Elisabeth (the owner of the picture) aged 10. Next to her is her father Frank Downing the owner and farmer of Wilminstone Hall and married to May Downing who is stood behind him. Then the grandfather Alfred Hoare who owned Hoare and Downing Messrs. The other little girl is called Margaret. On the left of the picture are 5 workmen and one female. They were harvesting dredge corn which is oats and barley mixed. Wilminstone Hall is still a farm today.
