Pony Drift

Pony Drifts are held in late September or early October. During a pony drift, ponies are herded into a small area where they are separated by ownership. According to D. St. Leger-Gordon, Pony Drifts were an uncommon custom by the 1940s on the moor. However, pony drifts still take place on Dartmoor today.
