Army volunteers leaving Budleigh Salterton railway station. Note the almost universal wearing of hats. 4 or 5 women are also in the picture as well as 2 men with similar cap badges that don't appear to be military. Could they be railway staff? From evidence submitted on 12 Jan 2021 by DN from a postcard of this occasion the date of the event would seem to be 5 Sep 1914.
