John Waterfield finding shelter to read under the rocks at Hound Tor
The Waterfield family visited Dartmoor for a holiday in March 1949 when the weather was particularly cold. Despite this, John Waterfield found sufficient shelter to settle down under the rocks of Hound Tor to read his newspaper.
