Dartmoor cross and pool
An unspecified cross on Dartmoor. It stands in an isolated position on the open moor. Nearby lies a small pool of water; some of the moorland pools are seasonal- others can be found throughout the year. Crosses often marked the trackways across the moor- a very useful feature for navigation and avoiding hazards like the pool, which could be extremely hazardous. This is probably Windy Post viewed from the West and the "pool" is overflow from the Grimstone and Sortridge Leat at the Bullseye Stone.
